Also, if CPU makes the CPU throttle (because it changes gears in clocks when you use more cores), it will slow down GPU folding too.
I don't use the cpu for folding...gpu only. It appears any AM5 six-core cpu would be more than adequate for this use in my scenario. Don't think there is a lesser cpu available for the AM5 platform. Kind of doubt there would be any savings for me given I would have to purchase another cpu(s) vs what I have currently running in ECO mode. Experimenting with undervolting the gpu's atm. Kind of expect any savings are going to be miniscule lol...just wishing out loud.
